History of Coventry Village

In December of 1995, Coventry Village broke ground on its continuing care community for active seniors. The location is not only beautiful, but convenient as well -- 22 picturesque acres of rolling countryside next to the Bishop O'Connor Pastoral Center on Madison's west side. It is a scenic residential neighborhood situated on the highest point in Madison. Quiet and serene, yet only minutes from shopping, entertainment and leisure opportunities.

Construction of the first Courtyard Homes Condominiums was completed in October, 1996, and continues today. Currently, 41 homes of an anticipated 61 have been completed. The much awaited construction of our 102-unit Brookline Apartment Homes followed in May, 1998, with doors opening to residents a year later. Sebring Assisted Care Residence, which also houses Sebring Gardens Memory Care, was completed, licensed and ready for occupancy in February, 2004.

Coventry Village was thoughtfully developed by Harris Webber, Ltd., based in Libertyville, Illinois. Founded in 1976, the firm specializes in the development of quality retirement communities with a focus on comfort, convenience and freedom from worry for the individuals who make those communities their home. Coventry's design approach emphasizes a non-institutional setting where an atmosphere of home and community always come shining through.
