Jennifer Braun - Executive Director

Jennifer Braun has been with Coventry Village Active Senior Community since 2003, when, as Residence Manager, she opened the award-winning Sebring Assisted Care Residence. In 2005, she assumed the role of Executive Director for the entire Coventry Village community. Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, both from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She also has received further specialization in Gerontology. Jennifer has been devoted to senior services and assisted living for 18 years. Her commitment to quality care and services is the backbone of the Coventry Village mission. Further evidence of Jennifer's expertise is her selection by In Business Magazine as a "40 Under 40" top young executive in the Greater Madison area, as well as her inclusion in the publication's exclusive Executive Register. An active family consisting of husband Chris, daughter Josie, son Andrew and two small "kids with fur" keep her busy at home. Family is indeed the most important thing to Jennifer and she has integrated everyone at Coventry Village into her own.

Denise Zwettler - Assistant Executive Director

Denise Zwettler, Coventry's Assistant Executive Director, has dedicated 15 years to senior health care services. Denise earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, as well as a Master's degree in Health Care Administration. When she is not at Coventry Village, Denise stays very busy with her two young sons who always manage to keep her on her toes. But, no matter how hectic her schedule gets, Denise makes sure to allow time for her favorite leisure activity, which is enjoying the company of family and friends.

Jane Roemer - Admissions Director

Jane Roemer has dedicated the majority of her career to working with older independent adults. In addition to a degree in Sociology and Psychology, she has advanced training in Geriatrics and is a certified Bereavement Counselor. Rural adults and their care giving families have been Jane's primary focus, primarily due to her personal rural roots and a large extended family. She has additional experience in banking, marketing, volunteer recruitment and coordination, and direct residential care and services administration. Jane also holds a Wisconsin Real Estate Broker license and is the Broker for Coventry Village Realty, LLC, which provides assistance with the purchase and sale of condominiums on the Coventry Village campus.

Maria Carlton - Marketing Director

Maria Carlton brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the marketing program at Coventry Village. As a Journalism graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, Maria's professional career has focused on advertising and public relations. When she is not busy promoting Coventry Village to the community, Maria loves to travel. Since her family is from Greece, that always is a favorite destination, along with other picturesque locales in Europe, Mexico, Canada and both United States coasts. But, by far, Maria's favorite times are those spent with friends and family, especially her son who currently is a student at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.

Mary Rudolph - Wellness Director

Mary Rudolph is the Wellness Coordinator for all Brookline Apartment Homes and Courtyard Homes Condominiums residents. She is a registered nurse, board certified in gerontological nursing/RN-BC, whose distinguished career has focused on gerontological nursing for over 30 years. Mary resides in Verona, right next door to her parents, with her husband, Steve, who is the owner of an in-home care business in Madison. They are the proud parents of three adult children, Scott, Amanda and Jim. Aside from the residents at Coventry Village, Mary loves animals, reading, watching movies and walking - all combined with a healthy dose of humor and laughter.

Becky Rogers - Resident Services Director

During Becky Rogers' extensive career in health care, more than 12 years have been devoted to the activity field. Becky holds a Bachelor's Degree in business from Upper Iowa University and has maintained certification as an occupational therapy assistant for 20 years. She especially enjoys the fast-paced setting of resident services and is happy to recruit volunteers to assist with the many wonderful activities she plans for Coventry Village residents. Becky keeps just as busy at home in Monona with her husband, Blaine, a dog and two cats. Their daughters, Maggie and Samantha, live nearby in Fitchburg and visit frequently.

Judy Brookins, CSW - Residence Manager - Sebring Assisted Care Residence

Judy Brookins brings more than 25 years of experience in long-term care to her position at the helm of the Sebring Assisted Care Residence, where she combines dedication to Sebring's wonderful residents with strong leadership for her caring professional team. Judy has completed Bachelor's degrees in Home Economics and Health Education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, as well as in Psychology at Upper Iowa University. She and her husband, Greg, keep very busy throughout the year with their five children and nine grandchildren. A few of Judy's other favorite pastimes include walking, reading and working on jigsaw puzzles.

Nancy LaBreche, RN - Resident Care Director - Sebring Assisted Care Residence

Nancy Labreche ensures that every resident at the Sebring Assisted Care Residence achieves and maintains excellent health. And they couldn't be in better hands - 2010 marks her thirtieth year as a registered nurse. Prior to joining the staff at Sebring, Nancy devoted 12 years to the senior population as a freelance nurse consultant in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, CBRFs assisted living facilities and RCACs. She also spent six years as the Director of Nursing in skilled nursing facilities and 11 years as a Medicare unit manager, head nurse and nurse recruiter. Starting a private home health agency and serving as its Director of Nursing round out Nancy's impressive background in the field of health care.

Barbara Saeman, Director - Sebring Gardens Memory Care

Barbara Saeman has been part of the Sebring family since its beginning in 2003. She was instrumental in the initiation of Sebring Gardens Memory Care, which offers a life-enriching environment for those with Alzheimer's and other memory impairing conditions. Through Barbara's thoughtful direction, Sebring Gardens initiated and continues to provide residents with the highest caliber of person-direct care. In addition to an extensive education in senior healthcare, Barbara utilizes her special aptitude for art to benefit Gardens residents. She also is a certified instructor on issues related to dementia. To that end, she regularly conducts state mandated training for Coventry Village staff and family members, as well as staff of other area-wide retirement facilities.

Stephanie Zabler - Resident Services Coordinator - Sebring Assisted Care Residence

Stepanie Zabler has been planning creative, fun-filled activities for long-term care residents for the past 14 years. She loves working with the elderly population and providing activities that everyone can enjoy. Stephanie is a 1996 graduate of the COTA Program at Madison College. When she's not interacting with the residents at Sebring, Stephanie keeps busy at home and loves spending time with her three children, ages 23, 19 and 9.

Jim Herrling - Environmental Services Director

Jim Herrling has served Coventry Village of Wisconsin for seven years as the Director of Environmental Services. He and his staff work round the clock to maintain the buildings and grounds for the entire 22-acre campus, assisting residents and ensuring that everything is in top working order and meticulous condition - inside and out. Jim has been married for eight years and has two wonderful children.

Jake Herzer - Dining Services Director

Jake Herzer knew he would be an aficionado of the culinary arts when he started cooking professionally at the age of 15. Following completion of a culinary arts program in Pennsylvania, Jake was awarded an apprenticeship at the Opryland Resort, where he was one of only two candidates accepted among thousands of applicants. Subsequent Wisconsin-based stints at the Abby in Fontana and the House on the Rock Resorts helped him further hone his skills. Jake has earned an Associate Degree of Applied Science in the concentration of Culinary Arts, as well as numerous certifications within the industry. In addition to his expertise in the kitchen, he is an accomplished ice carver. Jake makes his home with his wife, Kate, their daughter and twin sons.

Steve Stepanek - Assisted Director of Environmental Services - Sebring Assisted Care Residence

For the past six years, Steve Stepanek has overseen the maintenance and laundry operations at Sebring, in addition to a household full of other tasks. He's a whiz at repair and keeps just about everything in top working order for the residents and staff of Sebring Assisted Care and Sebring Gardens Memory Care. Steve always is there to lend a hand when needed and brings a smile to every resident's face while doing so. At home, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and their four beautiful children.

Joe Cerniglia - Transportation and Security Director

Joe Cerniglia keeps the residents at Coventry Village safe and on-the-go. With his staff of professional drivers, Joe ensures that all residents can count on Coventry's shuttle service to conveniently reach their destinations, which include everything from shopping trips and church services, to entertainment venues and medical appointments. Joe also leads a first-rate security team which monitors and safeguards the entire campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A distinguished background as a police chief and private detective ensures that Coventry Village is in good hands under Joe's watchful eye. As a lifelong Madison resident, Joe and his wife are delighted to have their three adult children living nearby.
